A complete concept for laparoscopic training

Luebeck Toolbox Standard

Luebeck Toolbox Standard

The “Luebeck Toolbox” is a complete training concept consisting of a training box with an integrated camera, four modules covering six exercises, performance targets for each exercise, a clearly structured training pathway and instructional video material. The “Luebeck Toolbox” establishes a scientifically grounded and structured training curriculum for basic minimally invasive surgical skills. The playful design of the curriculum drives motivation and engagement.

The “Luebeck Toolbox” accelerates training, saves resources, advances minimally invasive surgery and can contribute in the long term to high-quality surgical care for patients.

Luebeck Toolbox company edition

Company Edition

The Company Edition of the Luebeck Toolbox allows the use of a laparoscopic camera — whether for demonstration purposes or in workshops and skills labs.

The Company Edition offers three usage options. Despite the flexibility of the system, the defined imaging parameters of the Luebeck Toolbox are maintained to preserve the high level of standardization of the LTB curriculum. Combining functionality with quality, design and user-friendliness was a key priority for us.

Usage options of the Company Edition:

1 Integrated camera

As with the standard edition, the integrated camera can be used with all associated advantages, including a standardized camera position and the ability to practise quickly and independently. This is enabled by an insert with an underside designed to hold the mini camera in place.

2 Elastic membrane

A high-quality elastic membrane can be inserted to allow free movement of a laparoscopic camera. This is an excellent option for workshops in which two participants are working at the Luebeck Toolbox and, if required, practising content beyond the standard Luebeck Toolbox modules, such as exercises on organ packages.

3 Holding adapter

A laparoscopic camera can be fixed in the position defined for the LTB curriculum using a dedicated holding adapter. The mechanism supports both 30° and 0° optics. In addition, camera systems with different focal lengths can be adjusted within the holding system so that the standardized image remains consistent.
